Research Symposium
Deakin Downtown between 1.30pm and 5.00pm on Monday 26 October, 2020
The Symposium is separate to the Conference but offered on the same day as the preconference workshops and requires separate expression of interest.
The Research Symposium will be co-chaired by Dr Anna Rowe and Associate Professor Denise Jackson. It will involve presentations and collaborative discussions on key topics related to WIL research, such as conceptual frameworks, qualitative and quantitative research design, managing ethics considerations, converting collaboration to grant funding, and publishing and disseminating WIL research.
All types and stages of researchers are welcome, however this symposium is particularly aimed at emerging researchers in WIL, which might include (but is not limited to) early career researchers, doctoral students, experienced researchers in other fields who are relatively new to WIL research, professional staff, WIL practitioners, industry/community representatives with an interest in WIL research.
The symposium offers a great opportunity to learn more about researching in WIL, as well as networking with others in this area.
The research symposium will be held at Deakin Downtown between 1.30pm and 5.00pm on Monday 26 October, 2020, and includes afternoon tea.
Concurrent events: The Research Symposium is on at the same time as afternoon preconference workshops but a different venue.
Fee: There is no fee for the Research Symposium but registration is essential.
Numbers are restricted.
